Speaking to TUKO.coke, the ODM legislator argued Kikuyus could only to be “rented” and cannot be bought.

“In 2022 Kenyans should vote for ideas not money. There is one guy who said you can rent a Kikuyu but you cannot buy them. We are leasing them right now to support us and we reciprocating on this Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) thing…but they will never ever support Raila Odinga,” Ole Kina opined.

The first term lawmaker said Raila would be in for a “rude shock” in 2022 insisting Kikuyus were not honest people going by historical elections in the country.

“In everything they do, these people (Kikuyus) are not honest…it’s rather unfortunate…If they were to support Raila then they would have solved this issue of Kedong ranch which we believe is our ancestral land taken away from us…we have spoke with Raila who has communicated the message to Uhuru but they will never agree to let it go,” Ole Kina argued.

In a related story, political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi said no one could buy Mt Kenya support including Deputy President William Ruto who had made inroads into the vote rich region ahead of 2022.

Ngunyi dismissed Ruto’s dalliance with a section of Central Kenya Members of Parliament saying the legislators were deceiving him.

“You can never buy a Kikuyu, you can only rent one, those MPs from Mt. Kenya region who are friends with Ruto are only deluding him,” the analyst said on his Twitter page.
