The Premier Soccer League have confirmed new times for night matches after president Cyril Ramaphosa’s curfew changes.
After the president’s announcements last night, there will no longer be any 20h00 starts in the DStv Premiership due to change of the curfew time.
As a result, the latest encounter will start at 19h00 and should be completed by 21h00.
The statement read:
The President of South Africa, the Honourable Mr. Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa, last night announced an extended curfew as part of the new regulations to address the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The new regulations fix the closing times for venues hosting sporting events as 22h00.
In compliance with the regulations all night matches of the PSL will start at 19h00 at the very latest and be completed on or before 21h00 in the evening.
