JOHANNESBURG – Patrons and tavern owners are breathing a sigh of relief.
Taverns and bars are now expected to reduce their operating hours to allow patrons and staff to be home before 11pm.
Tavern owners, staff and patrons have committed to observing COVID-19 protocols to avoid another shutdown.
But it remains to be seen whether these new measures will be enough to save lives and livelihoods.
