The founder of the Faith of Unity, Owobusobozi Bisaka, has ordered all his subjects to vote for candidate and move door-to-door canvassing for votes in favour of the President.

Bisaka made the orders on Tuesday at Kampyemi Healing Centre in Muhorro town council, Kagadi district while meeting a delegation sent by President Museveni to solicit for his support ahead of the 2021 general election.

“President Museveni is a God-given gift to Ugandans and nobody should dare to discredit his achievements. These include the restoration of rule of law, constitutionalism, democracy, freedom of association, free education, liberalisation of trade, peace, unity and prosperity,” he said.

Bisaka said unlike the previous regimes, Uganda, under the National Resistance Movement (NRM) government, is a liberated nation with improved road network, health facilities, gender equality and increased household income.

“You should also hunt for votes in favour of all NRM flag-bearers in the district. We still cherish, uphold the achievements ushered in by NRM, as well as consolidate it for more prosperity to prevail in the country.”

Deputy director general of Internal Security Organisation Maj. Emmy Katabazi, who represented President Museveni, reiterated the Government’s commitment to provide security to the nation and improve on people’s livelihood through initiatives such as Emyooga and youth livelihood funds.

He asked the Faith of Unity believers to continue supporting the Government to transform the country from peasantry to modernity.

“I urge you to tap opportunities available in the oil and gas sector in the Albertine graben, emyooga funds and the liberalised economy,” he said.

He delivered an assortment of campaign materials, including T-shirts bearing the portrait of President Museveni, posters and other campaign materials.

He said the materials should be distributed to campaign agents.

Omukwenda Henry Baguma thanked Museveni for sending a representative to Kampyemi headquarters and pledged support from all believers.

NRM flag-bearer for Buyaga East constituency Steven Twesige Rulekere thanked Owobusobozi for promoting unity, peace, education and coexistence in the Bunyoro sub-region.
