Election bought, not paid for

Assuming Erin O’Toole completely vetted himself, he is lesser of a target for the Liberals than Peter Mackay would have been. It matters not — he will not be able to take down Trudeau. The next election has been bought (but not paid for) by the Liberals. With all the bobbles Trudeau will put in the window, Jagmeet Singh will have no choice but to support the Liberals. The NDP will try to put a spin on this by implying “they” forced the Liberals to do this. However, many NDP supporters who believe in progressive socialism will realize that they might as well vote directly for the Liberals. They will catch on to the fact that the NDP will never be able to form government, let alone implement any social programs. At best, this will relegate Singh and the NDP to fringe party status with the Greens. I believe in the next election the Liberals will win a majority and will lead Canada into a more socialist state. Whether he has the support or approval of Canadians is irrelevant. It is his vision of Canada. To describe him as a dictator is an exaggeration — an autocrat would be more apt.
