On the evening of Wednesday July 29, 2020, Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron arrived at their vacation spot: Fort de Brégançon. If the couple intends to take advantage of the good weather, the President of the Republic could see his vacation cut short.
Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron are on leave! After the last Council of Ministers before the summer break, it is on the evening of Wednesday July 29, 2020 that the presidential couple settled at Fort de Brégançon, the summer residence of the Presidents of the Republic, in the Var. If the couple wished to arrive at their vacation spot in a discreet way, it was without counting on the presence of the inhabitants and tourists of Bormes-les-Mimosas, who were happy to know the duo on their land. A few days before their arrival, it is at the microphone of Europe 1 that Valérie Collet, of the tourist office of the city, confided that they would spend a family vacation: “Since the Macron couple is there, everyone furniture and all decoration have changed. We see that they receive children, grandchildren, because the sofas are much less fragile than before, it makes a house that lives.“
If after the global pandemic, Emmanuel Macron wishes to have a few days of rest, his vacation could however be shortened this year. Indeed, if the President of the Republic will return to his government during the re-entry Council of Ministers on August 25, his date of return to Paris could take place much earlier. If the Elysee said that his vacation would be “studious”, government spokesman Gabriel Attal, revealed that Emmanuel Macron could bring together one or more Health Defense Councils by videoconference this summer. And for good reason, he would not like to waste time before adapting the government strategy to the evolution of the epidemic, which continues to progress in France, but also in the world.
A busy return awaits Emmanuel Macron
With the presentation of a historic recovery plan for 100 billion euros promised for the end of the summer, the return of the President of the Republic promises to be sustained. The Presidency specifies: “The President obviously continues to follow national and international current affairs issues and remains particularly attentive to the evolution of the health situation in the territory. He also reminded members of the government on Wednesday of the need to remain in a permanent state of watch and fully mobilized. “
