Taoiseach share concerns about the rising incidence rate of Covid-19

The Taoiseach says he shares the Chief Medical Officer’s concerns the incidence of is rising again.

264 new cases of the virus have been confirmed this evening and one more person has died.

79 in Dublin, 24 in Donegal, 19 in Kerry, 18 in Limerick, 14 in both Kildare and Wexford.

The remaining 96 cases are spread across 16 other counties.

Across the region there are 9 new cases in Mayo, 5 in Galway with less than 5 in Sligo.

There are no new cases in Roscommon.

The 14 day incidence rate per 100,000 people is 83.

Taoiseach Micheal Martin says the next 7 to 10 days is crucial so we can have a safe Christmas.
