Belarus' innovative solutions on display at Cairo ICT expo

MINSK, 23 November (BelTA) – The exposition of Belarusian manufacturers Made in Belarus has opened at the international exhibition of telecommunications and information technologies Cairo ICT, which is underway in the Egyptian capital through 25 November, BelTA learned from the Belinterexpo of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

According to the enterprise, Cairo ICT is the key technological event, which unites suppliers, system integrators in information and communication technologies for such sectors as mechanical engineering, banking and financial services, education, energy, telecommunications, construction, defense and security, and others.

Visitors to the exposition Made in Belarus will see the latest developments of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the Education Ministry. In particular, the Belarusian State University has presented its medical solutions. Among them is a set of medical programs Cardiology, mathematical models for surgical practice, computer modeling for the development of medications against coronavirus. On display is also BSUSat nanosatellite. Its modules make it possible to conduct experiments on the assessment of solar activity, aircraft tracking, observation of natural and atmospheric phenomena. Taking part in the expo are also the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, the United Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences, and the Belarusian-Russian University.

This year the exhibition in Cairo has gathered more than 400 companies from such countries as Russia, China, the United States, France, Germany, Italy, the UK, the Republic of Korea, and Saudi Arabia. The opening ceremony of the event was attended by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, ministers of education and healthcare of the country.

The organizer of the exposition of Belarusian manufacturers is the Belinterexpo enterprise of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The active participation and support was provided by the Belarusian embassy in Egypt.
