Boris Johnson must “face down his party” over controversial planning reforms to build more homes, even if it means some element of sacrifice, a cabinet minister has said.
The government is facing a backlash from Conservative MPs over the plans, which would lead to the construction of more than 300,000 homes a year. The number being built in London could treble to 93,532 a year.
